Its aim is to create a technology platform that allows the relocation of medical treatment and increase its efficiency, monitoring and control.
This project meets 15 publics and private entities: the Universities of Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza and Sevilla, the Andalucía Regional Goverment, the General Hospital of Valencia and many technology centres.
The result of this great team of research results have already been achieved in the design of a pilot program aimed at patients with diabetes.
At the meeting in Cartif for three days, members were updated their findings through demonstrations, such as the Device Package Sensory Integration, which showed progress in the integration of different devices within the platform called "Central Unit Integration" to be located in the patient's home. Embedded devices are doctors (glucometer and pulse oximeter), home automation (ambient temperature sensor and light sensor), and technology (pedometer and Wii balance board)
